About this work
Taxi Cab II
A yellow cab surges forward in Al Held's Taxi Cab II. This isn't a street scene but a study in motion, where urban life meets abstract energy. The taxi, rendered in bold yellow, cuts through a field of black lines and geometric shapes, creating a sense of speed and dynamism.
The background is a network of sharp angles and intersecting planes, all in stark black and white. The contrast between the cab's vivid yellow and the monochrome backdrop intensifies the artwork's visual impact. Held's precise lines and geometric forms give the composition a structured yet energetic feel.
This poster brings a jolt of urban energy to a home office or studio. It's for those who appreciate the intersection of city life and abstract art.
