This Time — Fine Art

This Time sets broad colour washes across the sheet with edges that do not line up evenly. The paint runs in loose bands that do not meet. Sam Gilliam builds the image by laying one tone over another. The eye settles on a heavy band near the middle.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the light tones soft and there is no shine under a lamp.

It works on a dining room wall near a plain light. From the table you see the big colour bands, and in the kitchen doorway you notice the small uneven lines.
