Untitled — Fine Art

On a ground of soft colour, broad painted bands run side by side across the surface. The Untitled - 1968 shows the colour field painting work of Ron Gorchov, where large flat sections sit close together and the eye moves from one tone to the next.

The fine art print stays on matte paper, so the painted tones stay even and the surface does not shine under a lamp. A white, wood, dark wood or black frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall.

In a dining room, white paint on the wall keeps the soft colours easy to read. From the table you see the broad painted bands, and near the plate the small shifts between each tone.
