Waves 1973 — Fine Art

Waves 1973 by Alexander Calder shows painted bands that move across the sheet like water lines. The bands shift in tone and leave open gaps between them. The picture stays calm, with each band reading as a single sweep.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The paper is matte and flat, so the tones stay even and there is no shine under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the bands stand apart. A dark frame on a pale wall does the same thing the other way. You can also pair a wood frame with wooden furniture.
