Yun Hyong-keun

Yun Hyong-keun was a Korean abstract painter celebrated for his Umber and Ultramarine paintings - austere, slow-dried canvases of deep brown and blue pigments that bleed into each other with quiet, monumental gravitas. His meditative works carry the influence of Korean ink painting and Taoist philosophy into Western abstract painting.
