Cantileve - 1983 shows a row of small forms that lean forward like stone blocks set on a flat ground.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The shapes step down across the sheet, with open space between them. Nancy Graves built this kind of work from careful drawing and repeated forms.

The paper is matte, so the flat tones stay even and the metal hanger on the back lets the print go straight onto a nail or screw. It belongs above a kitchen bench, where the leaning shapes read from the sink and the gaps between them stay clear from the doorway.
