Composition

The sheet Composition - 1960 by Serge Poliakoff uses the abstract painting practice of the post war period. Tonal bands of colour sit on the sheet, layered so one shape edges into the next.

The fine art print comes on matte paper with a frame finish that can follow the room. A light or dark frame settles on the shape of the sheet. The finish stops glare on the bands.

It fits a study wall above a desk. You notice the slow shift between tones from the desk, and the small changes in the bands when you lean in.
