Fixed Points — Fine Art

Fixed Points shows a calm layout of lines and small colour marks set over a flat field. The title names the steady points that hold the rest of the picture together. Wassily Kandinsky built many abstract works around clear anchors and free marks that move around them.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. A white frame gives the sheet a clean edge that sits slightly apart from the paper. On this image the light marks stay open at the edge and the frame finish does not crowd the thin lines.

Over a desk the steady points draw the eye first, and the looser marks fill in around them. From the doorway you notice the rhythm of the marks before you see the frame edge.
