Flag

Flag by Jasper Johns uses thick painted bars in red, white and blue to fill the page. The artist worked with encaustic and symbols from public life. The bars stack in a clear row and the paint sits on top of the surface.

The picture reads like a flag made from paint strokes rather than cloth. You see the red, white and blue bars and the slight build-up where the paint covers the page. The back panel keeps the print flat against the wall.

The frame and panel hold the fine art print straight so the bars stay in place. The matte surface keeps the red and blue from shining under a lamp. It suits a kitchen wall near the sink where the morning light hits the bars.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
