Number 2 — Fine Art

Number 2 by Jackson Pollock is built from black and white paint poured and thrown across the surface. The black lines run over a pale ground, with a thin red band and a small blue patch sitting quietly against the white.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The print sits on matte paper, so the grey tones stay soft and the black lines do not shine back under a lamp. A light frame can sit on a dark wall, or a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It works on a kitchen wall, a short distance from the sink, where the light hits the paper at an angle and the red band catches the eye first, then the black lines settle in behind it.
