Restore — Fine Art

Restore by Sam Gilliam lays broad colour washes over the surface. The painted bands shift in tone and the edges stay open. The marks do not settle into a single shape, and the eye keeps moving across the sheet. No single colour holds the picture.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the washed tones from shining, so the bands read softly under a lamp.

Above a sideboard in the dining room, the broad bands sit over the wood grain. From the table you read the colour shifts first, and the soft edges stay quiet at that distance.
