Strata 1983

Strata 1983 by Vija Celmins holds a band of small marks that build into a wider surface. The work stays within her long practice of measured drawing and quiet observation. The print shows the surface plainly, with no outer gloss.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The white frame gives the image a clear edge against the sheet. A wood frame brings a warm line to the same edge. A dark wood frame adds a deeper band around the picture. A black frame keeps the edge sharp and plain.

It suits a study room on a plain wall above a desk. From the desk you read the small marks as layers. The surface stays calm while the room stays busy.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
