Treasure Island — Fine Art

Treasure Island - 2012 shows a wide painted field with soft bands of colour that shift across the sheet. The eye moves along the colour changes, and the empty parts hold the weight. Ron Gorchov works in colour field painting and keeps the edges soft rather than sharp.

A metal hanger is fitted to the back of this fine art print, so it goes straight onto a nail. You do not need a separate frame. The matte paper keeps the soft tones even under bright light.

On a bedroom wall near the foot of the bed, the colour shifts are easy to read from the doorway. The soft bands sit quietly against the plaster, and the empty parts let the room breathe.
