Winter — Fine Art

Winter by Eyvind Earle places snow covered hills under a pale sky. Flat colour bands form the ground and the trees stand in clean outlines.

The scene reads as a quiet winter landscape with cool blue and white tones. Eyvind Earle worked in a mid century illustration style that uses flat colour and clear outline marks.

The fine art print sits on a matte surface so the blue tones stay flat and the white bands do not shine. You can set it on a porch wall where the winter light falls across the picture. From the door you see the strong tree lines and the stacked hills.
