Best Art Prints to Buy in 2026 and the 10 Trending Artists and Styles Worth Hanging Now
Original art prices climbed hard in 2026. A signed Picasso lithograph now costs $15,000 or more, and a new Hiroshi Nagai screenprint sold for $2,000. Here are the 10 most wanted artists and wall art styles of the year, what the originals cost, and where to buy framed and canvas prints of the same images for far less.

Why more buyers are choosing art prints in 2026
The art market roared back this year. Sales at Christie's, Sotheby's and Phillips hit $6.8 billion in the first half of 2026, up 70% on 2025, and the median sale at Art Basel almost tripled to $287,500, according to Maddox Gallery's 2026 market analysis. The same names everyone wants on their walls now cost more than ever as originals. For most homes, a well printed reproduction is the only realistic way to live with these images, and it is the fastest growing way people buy wall art today.
Pablo Picasso prints for sale
Picasso is still the most searched artist when people shop for wall art. His top sale at Art Basel 2026 was a 1963 painting offered at $35 million, and even his prints have moved out of reach for most buyers.
Best for living rooms, studies and anyone who wants a recognisable modern master. Line drawings and still lifes work in framed paper prints. Bolder colour works suit large canvas.

Hiroshi Nagai painted the pools, palm trees and blue skies on 1980s Japanese city pop album covers. Streaming brought the music back and his images came with it. In 2026 Phillips released new signed editions, with some framed works listed at $28,000.
Best for bedrooms, home offices and retro or coastal interiors. A set of two or three Nagai prints side by side is one of the most popular gallery wall ideas of the year.

David Hockney died on 11 June 2026, a month before his 89th birthday, as reported by Al Jazeera. Demand for his swimming pools, bright California light and Yorkshire landscapes has never been higher.
Best for sunny rooms, bathrooms and anyone who wants colour without clutter. Look for pool scenes, bold blues and simple California landscapes in the same spirit.

Yayoi Kusama died in Tokyo on 14 August 2026 at 97, as NPR reported. Her dots, nets and pumpkins are among the most recognised images in modern art, and search interest in dot and repeat-pattern wall art jumped after the news.
Best for playful rooms, entryways and modern apartments. Pattern-led and dot-based abstract prints give the same rhythm on a wall.
Shop pattern art printsKeith Haring and pop art prints
Pop art is back in demand. Keith Haring's print prices rose in every region in the first half of 2026, with Asia's average more than tripling, according to MyArtBroker.
Best for kids' rooms, studios and creative workspaces. Bold line, primary colours and a white frame keep pop art clean rather than loud.
Shop pop art printsArt prints by women artists
Women artists had their strongest quarter ever in early 2026, with $105.5 million in auction sales, up 59% on the year, per Maddox. Frida Kahlo set the auction record for a woman artist at $54.7 million.
Buyers are following that shift at home too. Georgia O'Keeffe flowers, Hilma af Klint's spiritual abstractions and the soft interiors of Berthe Morisot are among the most requested prints this year, and they make thoughtful art gifts.

The biggest home trend of 2026 is one oversized piece instead of many small frames. iCanvas names large statement art as one of the defining wall art trends of the year, and designers now call texture the new neutral, per FinerWorks.
A large canvas print gives you both. It fills the wall above a sofa or bed, adds surface texture, and needs no glass or frame. Vertical canvas works best in narrow walls, hallways and beside tall furniture.

Nature-led design is still rising. Botanical studies, herbarium plates and olive branches lead the 2026 forecasts, per Olive et Oriel. They are one of the easiest styles to buy because they suit almost every room, from kitchens to bedrooms.
Best as a set. Two or four matching botanical prints in the same frame colour look calm and finished.
Shop botanical printsAbstract art prints in warm earth tones
Warm, earthy palettes are the leading colour direction of 2026, and colour drenching, where the wall and the art share one tone, keeps growing, per Houzz data summarised by FinerWorks. Abstract art in rust, ochre, clay and olive is the simplest way to follow it.
Best for living rooms and dining rooms with wood, linen and stone. Pick one colour from your room and look for abstract prints built around it.

In 2026 the frame is treated as part of the artwork, not an afterthought, as La Grolla notes. Natural wood frames suit botanical and landscape prints. Black frames sharpen line drawings, Picasso and photography. White frames keep pop art and Nagai fresh.
Buying framed also means no trip to a framer and no guessing on sizes. The print arrives ready for the wall.

How to choose the right art print
What size art print do I need?
Above a sofa or bed, aim for art about two thirds the width of the furniture. For a single statement piece, a large print around 60 x 90 cm (24 x 36 in) fills most living room walls. Small prints work best grouped in twos or threes.
Framed vs unframed art prints
Choose framed if you want it ready to hang the day it arrives. Choose unframed if you already own frames or want a custom mount.
Canvas vs paper prints
Canvas brings texture and suits large sizes and bold colour. Paper prints in a frame look sharper for line drawings, detail and smaller sizes.
Art prints as gifts
A framed print of an artist someone loves is one of the safest art gifts to buy. Picasso, botanical prints and city pop art by Nagai are the most gifted styles this year.
Buyer questions
Where can I buy Hiroshi Nagai prints?
Signed editions sell through Phillips and specialist dealers from around $2,000. For a framed or canvas print of his city pop artwork at a fraction of that, browse Hiroshi Nagai prints at Zephyeer.
Are Picasso reproduction prints worth buying?
Yes, if you want the image rather than an investment. A signed Picasso costs $15,000 or more. A reproduction gives you the same composition on the wall for a small part of that price.
What is the best wall art to buy in 2026?
Large canvas prints, botanical sets, abstract art in warm earth tones, and prints of artists people already love, led by Picasso, Hiroshi Nagai and pop art.
Do you ship to the US and UK?
Yes. Zephyeer ships framed and unframed prints to customers across the US and UK.
What is the most popular art style right now?
Abstract art, botanical prints and bold modern masters lead in 2026, with Japanese city pop art the fastest rising style among younger buyers.
