New Mexico — Fine Art

New Mexico - 1985 by Doug Ohlson shows a wide view of the desert country with broad shifts in earth tones and sky. The painting reads as open space with soft changes across the field. Doug Ohlson worked in a landscape painting style with flat colour areas and simple shapes.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. The paper is matte, so the greens and browns stay even and the surface stays soft under a lamp.

It hangs on a bedroom wall where the morning light comes in low and even. From the door the big colour changes are clear, and in the corner the small shifts in the ground show quietly.
