A Cairn Dispersed...

A Cairn Dispersed... - 2008 works from language and placement rather than painted marks. Lawrence Weiner builds his work from words set on a surface, letting the text carry the shape. The piece sits as a printed statement, with the wording laid out in clean rows.

The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. The fine art print keeps the lettering sharp and easy to read, so the words stay the main thing on the page.

It fits a study where the wall is plain and the light comes from a desk lamp. From the desk you read the text across the surface, and the short lines give the wall a quiet rhythm.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.
