Black Iris by Georgia OKeeffe — Fine Art

A dark flower closes in on itself against a plain ground. The petals fold into deep tones that almost lose their edges. Black Iris stays with that tight shape and the slow pull toward the center. Georgia OKeeffe painted flowers this way, close and enlarged, so a single bloom fills the view.

The fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel, ready to hang. The matte paper holds the dark tones without a shine, so the shadowed petals read as soft rather than glossy.

It fits above a long desk near a window that gives even light. From across the room you see the dark form first, and up close the rounded edges and the quiet background hold the shape together.
