Black Ripe — Fine Art

Black Ripe by Ellsworth Kelly shows a solid black shape resting on a plain ground. The black field covers most of the picture and leaves a thin strip of white along one edge.

The contrast is sharp and simple. The paper has a matte finish, so the black stays even and does not shine under a lamp.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel and arrives ready to hang. It works on a bedroom wall near the bed, where the black shape reads clearly from the doorway and the frame keeps the edges neat.
