Blue and Red

Blue and Red by Sam Francis shows two colour fields on a white ground. The blue band covers the upper part while a red form drops down through the lower half.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. Empty space separates the two shapes. The paper is matte, so the blue looks soft and the red does not shine under a lamp. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, and the sheet goes straight onto a nail or screw without a separate frame.

It fits above a sofa at normal height. From across the room you see the blue band and the red drop. Up close you notice the thin line where the two colours meet.
