Green Mist

Green Mist holds thin bands of green and grey that overlap across the picture plane. The lines look like a cool fog moving over a flat field. Eyvind Earle painted in a style that uses straight edges and simple colour areas. The shapes stay even from side to side.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the greens soft and stops a bright shine when the lamp is on. The frame gives the flat colour bands a clean border.

It hangs on a bedroom wall above a low dresser. From the bed you notice the pale grey strip at the bottom and the green band near the top. The room stays calm.
