Inner Space — Fine Art

Inner Space - 1952 by Gene Davis runs long colour bands across the sheet in a steady direction. The eye enters on the first bright band and moves along the row as the hues step past each other.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. Empty space on the sides keeps the bands from feeling crowded. The white frame gives the picture a clear edge and lets the bands hold their own shape without a dark border.

The paper carries the flat colour without a sheen under a lamp. It works well in a reading corner where the bands line up with the bookshelf and the reader sees the changes in tone as the pages turn.
