Marin Island — Fine Art

Marin Island - 1914 shows a coastal view built from quick pencil and watercolour marks. The artist works with thin washes and sharp lines that cut across the sheet. You see open water and a strip of land drawn with loose strokes.

The fine art print keeps the soft wash areas together on matte paper. A light frame on a dark wall makes the grey tones stand out, while a wood frame joins plain wooden furniture.

On a bedroom wall above the bed you notice the thin pencil lines first. From the doorway the bigger wash shapes come into view.
