Memoria in Aeternum

Memoria in Aeternum groups several bright colour areas without hard outlines. The eye moves from one side to the other, and some space stays open in the middle. Hans Hofmann built these fields with quick paint handling.

The black frame gives the picture a clean edge. That edge keeps the colour areas from fading into the wall. The fine art paper carries the paint tones without a gloss.

A hallway wall works well here. From the far end of the hall you catch the bright blocks first. You walk closer and notice the uneven paint edges on the surface.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
