No. 6 Yellow, White, Blue Over Yellow on Gray — Fine Art

No. 6 Yellow, White, Blue Over Yellow on Gray - 1954 shows broad layers of paint stacked on the sheet. A yellow field sits under a white passage, and a blue band crosses over the yellow. The paint edges blur where the colours meet, and the grey ground shows through in places.

The print is a fine art print that arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger on the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed, so the picture goes up on the wall as it is.

It works on a hallway wall where the light is steady and you pass it often. From a few paces away you see the stacked bands, and the grey ground keeps the yellow from feeling too bright.
