Untitled

Mark Rothko worked with broad painted bands and soft transitions between tones. In Untitled - 1949 the sheet carries stacked colour areas that shift in value. The paper holds the paint in flat layers, and the boundaries between the bands blur slightly as they meet.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back. You set it straight onto a nail or screw, so the paper sits level against the wall without a separate frame to buy.

It fits a narrow hallway where the morning light runs across the bands and the soft transitions stay clear. You notice the slight shift from one tone to the next as you pass by.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
