Untitled SFP94-141 SFF 1811 — Fine Art

Untitled SFP94-141 SFF 1811 by Sam Francis opens on a pale ground with broad colour spreads that leave open space around them. The paint sits in wide areas with soft edges, so the eye moves across the page before reaching the quieter parts.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. A single dark mark near the lower edge gives the sheet its weight. The white frame gives the image a clear edge on the wall and keeps the pale field from fading into the plaster.

The white trim matches the open ground and lets the colour spreads sit on their own. It works well on the wall beside a desk in a study corner. From the door you notice the broad shapes, and from the chair you see the thin wash edges.
