Shoreline — Fine Art

Shoreline - Art Nouveau Modern shows a waterline where a dark band meets a lighter field. The marks sit close together and the edge between them is soft. Lawren Harris often worked with sweeping forms and a quiet surface, and this image follows that approach.

The print is a fine art reproduction on matte paper, so the flat tones stay even and the dark section does not shine under a lamp.

In a narrow hallway with a low ceiling, the print hangs on the wall beside the door. From the landing you see the dark band first, then the softer field above it. Standing near the coat rack the eye settles on the line where the two parts meet.
