About this work
Disco Zero - 1971 by Mira Schendel shows a sheet with handwritten marks and faint lines. The work uses a thin paper surface and careful ink strokes. Mira Schendel often worked with printed pages, rice paper and small typographic signs. The marks stay open and do not crowd each other.
The fine art frame in white gives the picture a clean edge against the paper. That white finish keeps the pale marks visible without pulling focus. The print sits flat inside the frame, so the page feels steady on the wall.
In a kitchen nook over a sink, the writing looks readable from the breakfast counter. You notice the small letters while waiting for water to boil. The white frame stays out of the way beside the tiles.
