Hibernation

Hibernation - 1954 looks at a bird resting in a hidden place, built with careful ink lines and pale washes that Morris Graves used in his regular practice.

The drawing keeps the bird small inside a plain field so the quiet mood carries the picture.

The fine art frame finish can follow the room with a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. Over a kitchen table the bird sits low on the wall and the wash tones stay even in the morning light.
