Azul — Fine Art

The title Azul points to a blue ground, and the marks sit across that field with a loose rhythm. Manuel Rivera works in the Art Informel style, where the hand leaves visible traces instead of a smooth finish.

The print is made for a fine art print line, and the frame finish can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. That lets the blue field stay the main thing rather than the frame pulling the eye away.

It fits above the desk in a study, where the blue reads from the doorway and the small marks come into view when you sit down. The pale stretch of ground near the top keeps the field from feeling heavy.
