Bay — Fine Art

Bay - 1958 uses a stack of colour bands sitting on a pale ground. A darker band sits below a lighter one, and the tones change as they move up the picture. The bands do not fill the whole sheet, so the outer space holds the eye.

The fine art finish follows the wall colour you have. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the edges sharp, while a dark frame on a pale wall lets the soft tones stay forward. The matte paper keeps the colour from shining under a lamp.

In a dining room on the short wall, the bands step upward as you sit at the table. The light on that wall stays even in the afternoon, so the tones stay soft instead of bright.
