Happy Island

Happy Island - 1965 opens on a field of colour arranged in clear bands. The shapes lean toward the Bauhaus way of working with flat colour and simple geometry. Johannes Itten built his practice on these clear blocks of tone.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the colour areas even and the small printed traces stay visible.

It suits the side wall of a hallway, seen from the door. The painted blocks read as steady shapes, and the printed lines sit beside them without crowding the surface.
