Lincoln Center — Fine Art

Lincoln Center - 1971 by Gene Davis shows painted colour bands stacked across the sheet in one direction. The bands step through warm and cool hues next to each other.

The eye moves along the steady run of stripes. This is a fine art print on matte paper. The finish stops shine under a lamp and keeps the soft tones soft.

A light frame on a dark wall lets the bands stay clear. It works on a hallway wall at chest height where the light falls even. From the far end you notice the bands first, then the small shifts between them.
