Purple Brown - 1957 carries two stacked blocks of tone on the sheet. The upper band runs a muted purple, the lower one a deeper brown. The painted edges blur where the tones meet, and the brush passes sit heavy on the paper. Mark Rothko built these panels with broad colour fields and soft boundaries.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a separate frame.
