About this work

The Star by Jean Arp

The Star by Jean Arp places a round white form near the top of a simple sheet. The background stays plain so the shape stands out. This kind of floating shape appears in much of Jean Arp work.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fixed to the back. You put it straight onto a nail or screw and it stays level without a separate frame. The print shows the form clearly on paper that does not reflect light from a lamp.

Hang it on a narrow wall in a study above a small desk. The round shape sits in the upper part of the sheet, and from the chair you notice the empty space around it. The room stays calm with the one form on the sheet.
