Phenomena Graced by Three — Fine Art

Phenomena Graced by Three - 1968 shows a painted field where broad colour bands drift across the sheet with soft edges. The work belongs to the abstract practice of Paul Jenkins and shows the paint methods he used over many years. You see the way colour sits in layers rather than sharp lines.

The fine art print keeps those paint layers clear on matte paper so the lighter bands stay flat and do not shine under a lamp.

It works on a bedroom wall above a low dresser where the soft bands read from the foot of the bed. You notice the gentler tones first and the deeper colour behind them as you walk past.
