Phenomena Tibetan Flange - 1973 shows a painted field where colour flows into itself. The work belongs to the post war american painting period that treated paint as a moving body. Fluid washes meet a thin line near the centre.

The print is a fine art print on matte paper, and the white frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. The frame edge sits flat against the image field.

In a reading corner the pale ground holds the eye, and the thin line draws you closer. You notice the small shifts in tone before you see the larger colour band.
