B-Walnut Stain

B-Walnut Stain - 2004 shows a dark brown field with a thin lighter line crossing the surface. The mark looks drawn with pressure that changes across the sheet. Pierre Soulages worked with black and brown tones in his practice.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the brown tones soft and holds the dark stain without shine.

It fits above a low desk in a study. From the chair you see the dark field first and then the thin line running through it.
