Untitled SFE 020 Lembark I53 holds a pale ground with colour spreads set across it. The paint sits in open bands. Sam Francis lets the colour run into separate shapes. The marks read as single gestures, and the space between them stays clear.

The print comes with a fine art frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. A black frame gives the edges a sharp line against the soft washes. A white frame leaves the pale field open, while a wood finish adds a warm edge to the lighter marks.
