Untitled

Untitled - c.1959 United States sits on a plain ground with a few dark marks placed in the lower area. Will Barnet worked in a measured drawing style, using thin lines and a small range of tones. The shapes stay quiet and separate from one another.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the grey tones soft and the lines stay clear without shine. You see the drawing as a flat object on the wall.

It hangs on a hallway wall where the light comes from a side lamp. From the stair landing you notice the dark marks first, then the empty space around them.
