Tom Thomson
Tom Thomson was a Canadian painter and an enormous influence on the Group of Seven, celebrated for his vivid, energetically painted sketches and canvases of the Ontario wilderness - Algonquin Park, Georgian Bay, and the Shield. His premature death in 1917 made him a legendary and mysterious figure in Canadian art history.
