1 Red 4 Black Plus X White 1947 — Fine Art

A single red element sits among four black ones with an X shape in white across 1 Red 4 Black Plus X White 1947. The title reads like a list of parts. The shapes feel balanced, not crowded. They follow the playfulness found in many works by Alexander Calder.

This fine art print uses matte paper, so the red stays clear and the black does not shine under a lamp. A light frame works on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It hangs on a kitchen wall near the back door. In the morning you see the red shape first, then the black ones. At night the white X catches the ceiling light.
