10 Janvier 2001 2001 by Zao Wou-Ki — Fine Art

Zao Wou-Ki built a long practice around large abstract oil paintings with broad colour fields and loose brushwork. In 10 Janvier 2001 2001 the exact picture is not known, so the print follows that style with layered tones and open space.

The print is a fine art reproduction on matte paper, so the softer tones do not reflect light and the surface stays even. The frame finish can follow the room you choose, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. The colours stay flat and even across the sheet.

Hang it on a bedroom wall set back from the door, where the soft tones sit quietly in the morning light. From the foot of the bed you see the broad colour areas first, then the small shifts between them later.
