Small numbers set in a steady row run from one side toward the other on a plain background. Roman Opalka worked on a project of painting numbers for years, and a sample from that work shows the method. The fine art print keeps the numbers and the plain ground as they are.

A metal hanger fits to the back, so the sheet goes up on a nail or screw without a separate frame. The numbers stay sharp on the paper, and the plain ground gives the rows room to breathe.

In a bedroom, the numbers sit along the top of the wall near the ceiling. From the bed you see the steady run of figures, and the plain ground holds them without noise.
