2 F Vrier 1986 by Chu teh Chun — Fine Art

The painting 2 F Vrier 1986 belongs to the abstract ink and colour work of Chu teh Chun. The canvas shows broad colour shapes set against a muted field, with the kind of flowing strokes he used to suggest air and water without drawing a fixed scene.

The fine art print keeps the soft edges and the light to dark shifts that shape the image. A light frame sits on a dark wall, so the colours do not wash out and the darker area stays clear under a ceiling light.

It works on a tall hallway wall near the bottom stair step. From the landing you catch the broad colour shapes first, and from the hall you notice the darker band in the centre. The lower light at that height keeps the quiet tone of the print.
