2 Minutes, 33 Seconds — Fine Art

2 Minutes, 33 Seconds - 1990 by Billy Apple places a short spoken phrase on a plain sheet. The work belongs to late twentieth century text art, where words stand on their own.

Billy Apple often used commercial lettering for his text based practice. The fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel, so the page stays flat and the letters stay clear.

You can hang it in a study above a desk. From the chair you read the phrase first, then the quiet blank around it.
