About this work
Four round forms sit in a row across the sheet in 4 Temas Circulares - 1953. Tomas Maldonado drew these with steady pressure and clean edges. The shapes repeat with small changes in tone between each one.
The fine art frame gives the picture a clear border on your wall. A white finish leaves the round shapes open and uncluttered against the edge. A wood finish adds warmth near the darker bands. The frame keeps the four circles in a steady line from left to right.
In a study room, the four circles draw the eye across the wall at desk height. The white frame holds the shapes in place while the room stays busy with books and papers. From the desk you see each round form as a flat disc with a thin line at the rim.
