About this work
Four diagonal bands cross the sheet in 4 Trames 22°5, 45°, 67°5, 90° - 1969. Each band runs at a different angle and the marks stay plain and even. Francois Morellet used measured lines and repeated crossings in his systematic drawing practice. The print shows that method without extra detail.
This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used. The matte surface keeps the angles flat and the colours even under a lamp.
On a hallway wall near the coat hooks you notice the crossing angles first. From the door the bands line up with the floorboards. Closer up the even spacing gives the page a steady rhythm.
