About this work

9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Half Off

The work titled 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Half Off by Sol LeWitt uses the artist system of counting down through a sequence. Straight lines and sharp angles are placed by rule rather than by hand pressure. The shapes stay separate and do not blend together.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel and arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is chosen. The printed lines hold their spacing on the paper so the counting sequence reads clearly in a room.

On a hallway wall near the front door, the numbered blocks catch the eye at the turn of the corridor. From that distance the black lines read as a set of steps going down.
